CNU: Communication students prepare for ABS-CBN’s Campus Patrol 2019
The Department of Communication and Media Studies conducted the annual audition for Abs-cbn Campus Patrol last August 15, 2019 at Broadcast Laboratory.
Abs-cbn’s Campus Patrol is an inter-school competition in TV broadcasting. It is participated by different universities and campuses in Cebu.
After twelve years, Cebu Normal University claimed the title again right exactly during the Abs-cbn’s 30th anniversary at Insular Square, Mandaue last year.
Students in communication department especially the freshmen were all excited to be part of the campus patrol team who will be sent in the upcoming awaited competition. “Nalipay og shocking kay it’s my first time nga moadto sa ABS-CBN kay more likely kay participant pod ko sa Prescon pero like regional siya nga level og division. Kani kay murag known man jod nga station” said Lourenze Pareja, a first year Film Media student.
Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan, head of the communication department and Dennis Ian Tanoc, former communication professor are showing full support by picking the top ten students who will join the competition this year.
Aside from Campus Patrol, Abs-cbn has also other competition like Campus Got Talent which will still be participated by communication students from different universities. The said competitions will happen this upcoming August 21 and 28, 2019 at Abs-cbn compound. This event brought by Abs-cbn aims to hone the skills and capabilities of the young journalists.

Kumagko
